Volunteer
Please contact us for more information or to sign up for any of these Volunteer Opportunities.
Day of Caring
Each September, the United Way of Morgan County hosts a Day of Caring, where local individuals and companies volunteer time to help United Way Partner Agencies and their clients with hands on projects. Sign up with our friends at the Volunteer Center of Morgan County. Join us to plant flowers, build wheelchair ramps, mow lawns of hospice patients, paint, clean, etc. and learn how we Live United!
Get on the Bus Tour Guide
If you enjoy meeting new people and sharing great stories, you may want to volunteer as a Get on the Bus (GOTB) Tour Guide. With a little training, you will be prepared to entertain small groups between United Way Agency stops and keep them on time from one visit to the next. You can be a frequent flyer during the Fall Campaign or an occasional traveler throughout the year…your choice.
Campaign Team Volunteer
Learn how to successfully work with corporate partners, gain experience for your resume, and meet some great people as a member of our Campaign Team. The Campaign Teams work primarily in September – November.
Allocation Team Volunteer
Visit three or four programs applying for funding, and help us decide where to invest the funds raised during the campaign. Commitment – review applications on your own, two short meetings, and one half-day of agency visits.
Turkey Trot Volunteer
Join us Thanksgiving morning for our annual 5K race, hosted by 3M. Hand out t-shirts, point participants in the right direction, or cheer them on with water and a smile as they run by.
General Volunteer
Fold campaign t-shirts, answer phones, or even vacuum! We’re not too proud to accept help when it is offered!
